Gracon is the brand behind which there is a Commenius Project that involves three educational institutions: Falu Frigymnasium and Playgroundsquad, Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht and IES Puerta Bonita Audiovisual and Graphic Media School.

The project aims to make easier the exchange of knowledge between both the students and teachers of the schools through mobilities to the cities where the schools are located. In addition, we will share documents related to the way we organised our schedules, how we teach, which are the goals of every school etc. We will exchange impressions, experiences and reflections as well through a community.

As Gracon is a tool for the students to make different 3D, animation and audiovisual products, we expect to upload the outcome of the collaboration between the students of the three countries here.

Falu Frigymnasium

Our Technical Programme at Falu Fri, aims at “Media and IT”. The focus in this field is “Game Development” and courses such as “Programming”, “Animation” and “3D modelling” are essential. Falu Fri works together with a nearby school called “PlaygroundSquad”, PSQ, which is a higher vocational school for game development.

Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht

Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht is, just like your school, vocational education. Our regular courses span 2 to 4 years. We have around 2000 students here and on our second location, on 5 minutes travel, where the Gaming courses are located. Our students are in general between 16 and 22 years. Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht is located in the centre of the Netherlands. It’s students are mostly from outside the city. Some of them travel from the far north and south of the country to get here, but as you can see in the picture, where every small red dot is a student, most of them come from the broad middle region.

IES Puerta Bonita Audiovisual and Graphic Media School

We are a VET school focused on the fields of audiovisual and graphic arts. With more than 700 students, our main goal is get them ready for a changing labour market, which means to work as a technician, as a free lance worker or to set up a company.

The students follow subjects like game design, 2d and 3d game art and programming. Game Artists and Gamedevelopers both participate in projects.
